My siblings rock. Callie is my oldest sibling, and her and I are the most similar. Both our husbands have confused us for the other at one point or another. I take this as a compliment because who doesn't want to be just like their older cool sister?
Speaking of cool, Callie is so cool that two Sundays ago when I told her I wanted to go see Phantom of The Opera, she was like, "I do too, lets go this Saturday." Um awesome. So we did. We flew out Saturday afternoon, landed in Vegas, went shopping at the outlets (where I fell in love with the Williams and Sonoma store), then went to this yummy Mexican place at the Venetian, and then saw Phantom.
It was fabulous. The Vegas picture for Phantom of course had a lot more bubbies than the one above, however. The lady who played Christine Daae was AMAZING, but the Phantom didn't quite do it for me. Something about his voice bugged me, but his stunts were pretty cool. The set was AWESOME. In the beginning when the chandelier moves, we were right underneath it and could feel the air from the force. Totally AWESOME.
I thought the play would be the highlight of the trip, but nay, it was breakfast the next morning. We went to Bouchon and it was GLORIOUS. Callie was in food heaven. After she took her first bite, she bowed her head and closed her eyes. I thought she was blessing it and then felt bad for already eating mine without having done so. But no, she was not blessing her food, she was.... I don't know what the right word is. She was just savoring the deliciousness that she had just eaten. I then had a taste and knew why she reacted that way. It was HEAVENLY.
After breakfast, we left the parking lot which was like riding a roller coaster and was also a highlight of the trip. Did I mention we did this all in less than 24 hours? I was a huge baby the whole time and missed my husband terribly, but I tried not to show it and failed miserably. Going to a different state. Shopping. Eating. Phantom. Eating. Having a great time with my oldest sister. All in less than 24 hours. AWESOME.
