So. Uh. Ya.

The way Micahel Scott asked me to be his girlfriend went a little something like this.

While stuffing his face with a hamburger while we were sitting in his car in some random parking lot, Michael asks, "So, uh, do you want to make this official?"

I reply asking, "What do you mean?"

M:"Will you be my girlfriend?"

C:"I am a fan of that."

Cute huh? This is just another step in our relationship that happened to take place in a parking lot. We became an official couple in the Circut City parking lot in Orem. We had our first kiss in the Y parking lot. He asked my Padre for my hand in marriage in a SconeCutters parking lot. Thank goodness we are not getting married in some totally random parking lot.

The day after we became officially engaged, my mother and sisters threw a little bridal-shower/not-a-bridal-shower/we're-excited-you-are-finally-engaged-and-threw-you-a-surprise-party-shin-dig. There was yummy food and a bunch of other stuff, but the most memorable was the parking lot cake Callie made. Isn't it AWESOME?

This is......

The man I get to marry. He is also the man who has been in Germany all week playing with his brother. He comes home to me on Monday. I can't wait.

This is a picture we took at his birthday picnic before he left. Isn't he adorable?

The more to come part.....

So, Michael and I basically knew that we were getting married shortly after we started dating. The whole becoming official part came a lot later. In July my Padre happened to be in town for a quick trip and so was Uncle Bluce. Michael decided this was the trip that we would ask Padre for my hand in marriage. Everyone else in the family knew what was going on but Dad was totally oblivious and ended up taking longer than he was suppose to to come down to Chrissie's house, so we ended up having to meet them somewhere along the way. It so happened to be that Padre had us pull over to a Scone Cutter's parking lot. How romantic.

We get out of the car and there are these two huge bald men that I love. I can only think of what was running through Michael Scott's head as these massive men walked towards us. We did the proper introductions and chit chatted a bit. It became silent and Padre was like, "Well thanks for making the effort to stop by." There was a pause and then Michael said nervously, "Actually there is something I wanted to ask you." as he pulls my father to the side. I proceed to pull Uncle Bruce to the opposite side and he caught on to what was going on and gave me a hug. Michael asked. Dad said yes. Hand shakes were exchanged. They came back over and a group hug was shared. Precious.

This picture was taken that night after the sisters found out what happened. We were a wee bit excited.
