Official Countdown

I have been counting down the days until March 18th for a while, but I won't admit how far back I actually started. As of today, there are 30 days left, a month, until I get to finally marry Michael Scott. I figured I can share the plans and ideas we have for our day of awesomeness.

Click here to see our colors and my flowers.

This is where we are having the reception.

Our cake will look like this and will be OH.SO.YUMMY.

She is making my dress and it is BEAUTIFUL. And I get to wear these with them, heaven help me.

This will be on my head. Loves it.

We are registered here and here.

This dude is doing our pictures. And he is my brother in law. And I love him.

And I should probably stop now so there is some surprise for those who come. 30 days! YAY!

Grandpa Dee

I just got off the phone with cute Grandpa and wanted to write down somewhere some stories that he told me.

Once Uncle Bruce and Uncle Carl were fighting around Christmas time, like hitting and punching fighting. It broke Grandpa's heart to see them do that so he went and got some boxing gloves to have them duke it out and then be done. The boys suited up and after about a minute or so decided the gloves were too heavy and stopped fighting. They never fought like that again, so the story goes.

Once the little neighborhood boys were picking on Uncle Bruce and so Dad went down and gave them a "whoopin" as Grandpa called it. Dad told the boys not to mess with his brother ever again or they would get another. This hardly sounds like the Dad I grew up with, but I also have never seen him have to defend his own. This story proves that if needed, my dad could totally beat up your dad.

Grandpa also said that he was baptized in the Tabernacle in Salt Lake. I just told Michael that and he said the he also was baptized there. COOL! I guess all the really, really, really cool people get baptized there.

I love Grandpa Dee. He is adorable and has always been apart of my life. I am grateful that he married Grandma Ila, who I can't wait to meet again someday. I am grateful he chose to be baptized, even though he refused at one point, and Grandma's bishop told her after meeting with Grandpa, "He is a Mormon, he just doesn't know it yet." I believe it was shortly there after that he was baptized. I am grateful he and Grandma raised Dad, Bruce, and Carl the way they did and giving us these amazing men in our lives.
